The studio was designed by producer and engineer Brian McTernan, of Salad Days recording, where he made records for Circa Survive, Thrice, The Receiving End Of Sirens, etc. It then became the studio of now multi-platinum producer Matt Squire, where he made records for the likes of Panic! At The Disco, Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, 3oh!3 and Cute Is What We Aim For. He later then went on to work with artists like Katy Perry, One Direction, Ariana Grande and Taking Back Sunday. Following Matt Squire, the studio was operated by Bryan Russell (Coldplay, A Straylight Run, Envy On The Coast), and then Scott Robinson, who produced records for local favorites like The Baby Grand, The Morrison Brothers Band, and The Shifters. Scott then passed the studio along to Eric Taft, where it has become the new home of the Buzzlounge.
The studio features a luxurious and comfortable control room, armed to the teeth with state of the art recording equipment, and plenty of space to make you feel at home. The live room is acoustically treated and dialed in to a tee, and features tall ceilings, making it an incredible room for drums and other acoustic instruments. There is also an isolation booth, ideal for vocals and guitar amps. We have a vast selection of microphones, guitars, amps and outboard gear, to get your music dialed in exactly the way you want it to sound.
The studio is centrally located between Washington, DC and Baltimore, and is a short distance away from College Park, MD. We are also a short distance away from Atomic Music, as well as a wide array of restaurants and eating establishments.
