Hi, my name is Eric

I’m a producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist who’s had the chance to work with a wide range of local, national, and international artists over the years. Spending so much time writing, recording, collaborating, and performing with musicians from all different backgrounds has helped me develop a well-rounded, flexible approach to production in the studio.

I started producing for other artists back in college, mixing records out of my dorm room at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. After graduating with my music degree, I launched Buzzlounge Recording Studio and really began shaping my production style. Since then, I’ve worked in several regional studios, shadowing top-level producers and engineers and picking up insights from all kinds of production approaches along the way. Whether it’s production, engineering, mixing, mastering, or songwriting, I’ve worked with artists across a wide range of genres — from metal and rock (Underoath, The Amity Affliction) to pop (Plain White T’s, Ashley Kutcher) to punk rock (Less Than Jake, Rehasher). I play drums, bass, guitar, and sing, and I’ve also done session and touring work for a number of artists.

I also write and perform with the Baltimore pop-rock band The Great Heights Band, producing all of our records as well. Being an artist and performer myself, I take a very artist-centered approach to production and do everything I can to make sure each artist’s vision comes through clearly and authentically.

Buzzlounge is currently based in Columbia, MD, with the new studio completed in Summer 2023. The space includes a separate lounge and living quarters, giving artists a comfortable place to relax — or even stay — while making their record.
